Clint and Luke have an odd pair of homes to choose from for their next investment property: a dated farmhouse and a midcentury modern split-level. A surprise visit from a former resident of the home they pick and some of the worst inclement weather Boise has ever seen makes it a race against time to get the house on the market for a big pay day.

Designer Luke Caldwell and contractor Clint Robertson have an exclusive offer to purchase a stunning 3,100-square-foot, midcentury modern home on Boise's scenic Central Rim. The catch? They have to pay $350,000 in cash and potential renovations add on an additional $300,000. One bad decision could break their business but with the right design, this big gamble could reap a huge profit and become the company's flagship home. Focusing on the home's amazing views, the guys raise the roof, add massive sliding glass doors that open to a 300-square-foot ceramic entertaining area and purchase a unique 400-pound black walnut headboard from a local woodworker so the view of downtown Boise can be enjoyed from the master suite while resting on a piece of Boise history. It's the most they've ever invested in a single property but the finished product is a stunning masterpiece.

Luke and Clint snag a 1,373-square-foot Craftsman home in the historic North End of Boise, despite its high cost of renovations. In order to turn this ugly duckling into a beautiful swan, they install a brand-new front porch with cedar-shake siding and revamp the attic space to make a functional new floor with a Jack-and-Jill bed and bath. Topping it all off and keeping with the Craftsman theme, they repurpose 100-year-old wood from the original construction by wrapping it around the kitchen vent hood and visit a local glassblower for some custom-made light pendants.

Luke and Clint expand their business into the hipster town of Garden City -- an up-and-coming area of Boise replete with coffee houses, breweries and man buns. When a farmhouse along the Boise River goes on the market, they jump on the opportunity to give it a Southwestern vibe. The guys install custom-made wrought-iron railings inspired by the existing arches on the second-story landing, commission a local artist to design and create ceramic art for the walls and build a custom bookcase for an upstairs reading nook decorated with cacti and a cattle skull. Along with these unique features are a mountain-themed accent wall and a horse-trough tub in the master suite resulting in a collection of oddities that could prove to be a hard sell. Other issues, including rotten floor joists on the second floor, require even more time and money from the guys who were merely planning on selling the farmhouse but may end up having to "sell the farm" instead.

With the help of their sons, Luke and Clint tackle a 1950s farmhouse and treehouse they've purchased on Boise's west side. This tricked-out home gets a new kitchen complete with church-pew seating and porcelain brick tile on the living room fireplace that matches the kitchen backsplash. The kid's room is stylized with whitewashed lap siding and functional French doors separate the master bedroom from the new backyard deck. Just when the guys think they're in the clear, however, a surprise weather event wreaks havoc on part of the home merely hours before the open house.

Clint and Luke convert a one-level triplex into a two-story, single-family home. They follow the Craftsman-style guide of utilizing materials found in the surrounding area while giving the home a more modern look and feel by opening up the living space. It’s a risky bet to sink a lot of money into a non-traditional renovation, but there’s no better place to make that bet than Boise’s coveted North End.

Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson take a big risk in Boise's East End with two custom murals in a four-bedroom, three-bathroom midcentury modern ranch built in 1957. They mix vintage with modern by creating a sleek kitchen with white powder-coated fixtures and adding more period details like a vintage sink and tub and a reupholstered mid-mod couch. Luke and Clint also enlist the help of Luke's son, Elias, to create a penny floor in the master bathroom, and they stage the open house to complement the home's one-of-a-kind style.

Clint Robertson and Luke Caldwell find a three bedroom, two bathroom ranch built in 1964, and they seize the chance to save both time and money by using their existing inventory of midcentury decor. After dealing with a water leak, they open up the kitchen and dining room, and Clint's son, Eli, pitches in to help make a breezeway accent wall. The design becomes more eclectic as Clint and Luke get deeper into project, and the theme of circles becomes apparent. During a break from the renovation, Luke takes his family to Boise's Buddy Walk to help promote acceptance and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome.

Clint and Luke make a huge investment on a sprawling four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom ranch house in the foothills overlooking Boise. The interior is covered with stucco, a giant fireplace blocks the amazing view and the exterior is riddled with features right out of the 80s. The guys start by removing the awkward fireplace, rearranging the master suite and sprucing up the outside with a wraparound concrete deck complete with outdoor kitchen and extensive landscaping. Luke then spends extra hours filling up the home with staging items hoping the resulting transformation will be enough to attract the right buyer and make the months-long project worth the effort.

Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson choose a house that needs more square footage, but instead of expanding it into the backyard or building a second story, they completely tear it down. The guys then construct a new, two-story home on the current foundation, while also building out to create a wider footprint. However, bad weather threatens to stall this big project.

Luke Caldwell and Clint Robertson are on fire for an old fire station up for auction. They want to create an extravagant living space that reflects the vintage firehouse. However, with Luke and his wife taking multiple trips to Europe for their daughter's adoption, Clint is left to handle the brunt of progress himself.

Clint and Luke buy a ranch-style house in Boise’s East End. During the renovation they find a surprise stash of vinyl records in the crawlspace, inspiring a music-themed design. Even with the unique makeover, they are concerned the home will attract a buyer.

Clint and Luke take a risk on a 1906 Victorian in a coveted Boise neighborhood. To make sure they don't lose money on the deal, the guys embark on a record-breaking six-week renovation project that involves knocking out walls to make the small space feel bigger. Luke takes his kids on a hunt for antique chandeliers to set off the home's beautiful vaulted ceilings while Clint and his son build a library-sized bookcase in the dining room for added storage. The quick turnaround comes with a variety of issues that threaten to derail the whole project, however, including unexpectedly having to purchase new flooring, a last-minute feature wall mishap, a broken chandelier and more.
